Formula Used
For men: CrCl = [(140 – age) × weight] / (72 × SCr)
For women: CrCl = [(140 – age) × weight] / (72 × SCr) × 0.85
Where SCr is serum creatinine in mg/dL, age in years, weight in kg
How it works:
- Select your gender and enter your age
- Enter your weight (can be in kg or lbs)
- Enter your serum creatinine level (from blood test)
- Click “Calculate Clearance” to see your estimated creatinine clearance rate
- The results will show your kidney function level with interpretation
About Creatinine Clearance:
- Creatinine clearance (CrCl) is a measure of how well the kidneys are filtering waste from the blood
- It is calculated using the Cockcroft-Gault formula which estimates glomerular filtration rate (GFR)
- Normal values are approximately 95-105 mL/min for women and 110-120 mL/min for men
- Lower values may indicate impaired kidney function and should be discussed with a healthcare provider
